A House Becomes A Home A House Becomes A Home

A House Becomes A Home

Our clients had recently purchased an 1829 townhome that they had fallen in love with in Boston’s historic Beacon Hill neighborhood. Working with the home’s original architectural elements that had been impeccably preserved, the scope of the first level consisted of a design refresh that celebrated the existing architectural details and created an updated and elegant feel. The garden level was in need of more extensive changes in order to create a more open and interactive concept with additional light. Walls were eliminated and windows were enlarged to create an expanded kitchen, sunny breakfast room, and a beautiful sitting area.

Luxury Living in Lexington

The client's existing colonial revival home was lacking space for entertaining and a connection to its pastoral setting. A total rebuild and redesign presented a wonderful opportunity to create a more livable space while respecting the original architecture of the home. The owners’ passion for color and an enhanced connection to their property provided an excellent starting point for inspiration. The end result was a transformation that created a seamless addition of a master ensuite on the second floor and an open concept living area downstairs. The overall design was connected by a symphony of color, form, and architecture elements, while fully embracing the pastureland views in back.

Classic Comfort Millennium Style

Our new clients purchased a unit on the 37th floor of the new Millennium Tower with views to the harbor and beyond. They were making a lifestyle change from brownstone living to a new modern space in the sky. They called on us to help them make that transition. They wanted a whole new look, but with one request - to incorporate their artwork into the plan.

Beauty in a Brownstone

Years after owning three floors in a row house in Boston’s Historic South End, our clients got the opportunity to purchase the top two floors and return their building to a single-family home. After more than two years of planning, total interior demolition, and the rebuilding of the five-floor residence, their new space has been rebuilt in keeping with a row house built in 1899, but with 21st century upgrades.

Purple, chartreuse, royal blue, and tones of beige combined with a wonderful mix of abstract art makes for a truly unforgettable home base for this family of five.

The Retreat celebrates sand and ocean with extraordinary vistas of the open sea as well as Florida inlets coupled with breathtaking endless terraces. This condo makes for a true getaway and wonderful second home for long time East Coast clients. When choosing fabrics and silhouettes for this project, we wanted to reference and honor Mother Nature herself and thus selected tones of sea foams, blues, and beiges for a truly serene and restful experience.

Historic Beacon Hill Brownstone

A historic 1800’s brownstone on Beacon Hill was redesigned and reinvented to reference its good bones with the celebration of lush fabrics, antiques, and a jaw-dropping mural. Our goal was to make a statement upfront, but one that would unfold with elegance and subtlety.

Colonial Revival Reinvented

For long-time clients the transformation of this center entrance colonial revival was truly an unforgettable journey from start to finish. The addition of a kitchen, family room, mudroom, master bedroom suite, and still keeping and respecting the age of the house and footprint, was challenging but enormously successful and rewarding at the end of the day. The elegance of the age of the house is kept in tack with a strong dose of color, texture, extraordinary English lighting, and breathtaking art and fabrics.
